Inspired by: My artwork was inspired by an experience where I witnessed a fellow student being told that space had to look a certain way for a project. I was deeply affected by the limitations that it put on the artist and how her creativity was immediately restricted. Art knows no bounds and the exploration of space does not either. My artwork represents the student and her pink space idea that she was never able to fulfill. Encouraging creativity is what motivates future exploreres and pioneers! I am also inspired by all of the strong couragous women that have ventured into space but Kathy Sullivan stands out to me because she has and continues to push boundaries in exploration.
